Sometimes it takes an outsider, someone who vacations here or lives here seasonally to remind us how lucky we have it. Super chef Mario Batali spends several weeks each summer in Lake Leelanau. Recently, he shared his love of the region with Bon Appetit magazine. Batali reveals his fondness for pies from the Grand Traverse Pie Company.
