The Fresh Taste of Summer is Here

The sun is shining, buds are on the trees, and farmers markets are getting ready to open for the season. This can only mean one thing – summer is just around the corner. We love to celebrate the seasons and invite you to savor the fresh taste of summer with three featured menu items beginning May 1st and through the summer until September 10th. Enjoy the all-new Cobb Salad, new Turkey, Bacon and Avocado Sandwich, and the popular Mediterranean Veggie Quiche.

We love the Cobb Salad for the summer as it’s all about fresh ingredients. This salad features oven baked chicken, bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, blue cheese, tomato and hard-boiled egg on fresh lettuce and is served with blue cheese dressing.

The Turkey, Bacon and Avocado Sandwich includes Michigan turkey, bacon, avocado, spinach, tomato and sriracha mayo served on rye bread. Choose our famous blueberry applesauce as your side for an extra delicious treat.

Always a GT Pie favorite, the Mediterranean Veggie Quiche is one of our most popular dishes featuring tomato, spinach, roasted red pepper, red onion, feta cheese, egg and cream baked in a flaky crust.

Additionally, you can add avocado to any GT Pie menu item this summer for a fresh taste of summer.

We invite you to stop in to any of our GT Pie shops and try our new summertime favorites. We hope you love them as much as we do.

Do you give free pie with an entire?

    1. Erin says:

Hi Wally, we have several three course combos on our menu which include a pot pie, pasty, or a slice of quiche with a side salad and a slice of pie for a reduced cost. Also, if you haven’t yet joined, our Pie Dough Club rewards program offers a free slice for signing up, a free slice a la mode or mini pie on your birthday, and many other rewards throughout the year just for being a registered member.

I am a real Pie Guy and a devote follower of GTPC from your original place up north in Traverse City (I think it was your first) to the several locations you have in my Mid-Michigan/East Lansing area. For a few years now, you have prepared a special addition pie for me I refer to as the BGK. It is a version you have always baked without hesitation, but for the life of me it has never made it to the regular menu. Yes I’m talking about the Cherry Rhubarb Pie with the crumble crunch topping. It is an excellent balance of sweet and tart (like your strawberry rhubarb pie), however the BGK has the key ingredient of CHERRIES which is what makes the GTPC so special. Cherries will always be a superior choice to strawberries in my opinion! Please give this pie favorite its’ rightful place on the menu and you will not regret it! As for me, whether on the regular menu or not; cherry rubarb will remain one of your best versions of PIE!!! Best regards, Bruce

Bruce, thank you so much for the pie love. We love to hear that you’re such a fan of the Cherry Rhubarb Crumb Pie. This pie has never been a regular pie menu item, but I’m happy your local shop bakes it for you. Thanks so much for your feedback; I’ll be sure to pass it along. 🙂
