Genevieve - The Pie LadySome say it takes a village to bring change, we like to say it takes a family. A PIE family of employees, partners, and patrons working together to bring positive impact. Through a mutual belief in generosity, we give back to our communities through our actions. It’s all of us, changing our communities one slice at a time. Sharing our time, talents and personalities, for the good of everyone.

We are proud to focus specifically on things that have a positive impact on Michigan and Indiana’s youth:

  • Our Grand Traverse Pie Community Shop in downtown Traverse City is our second Pie Shop located a couple of miles from the original Shop we opened in 1996. The Community Shop is dedicated to providing all of its profits to the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation who, in turn, earmarks funds for improving the quality of life of children in our local community.
  • Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is very special to our core values. The CAC is dedicated to the identification, treatment, awareness, and prevention of the sexual and physical abuse of children. We believe no child should endure abuse and that this kind of trauma leads to many other social concerns including potential incarceration, mental and physical problems. Our hope is, by circling around child sexual abuse, we will impact and improve several other facets of life.
  • Children who experience Foster Care are important to us. We reach out to mentor and to enrich the lives of these youth living in Michigan.  We have a “Michigan Partners Supporting Michigan Youth” endowment fund established that will, over time, provide funds for educational gap needs for our Michigan youth, who aspire toward upper education.
  • “Your Piece Counts” is an internal shop program that several of our PIE teams utilize to grow funds through every slice of pie that is sold in our shops. The PIE teams are able to decide where the funds might be best utilized in their particular community.

All of our shops are connected with their local communities and work hard to find the best opportunities to help.

That’s the Power of People, that’s the Power of Pie.
