North Carolina’s Connie Pettis-Honig Wins
First Ever ‘Grand Traverse Pie Company’s Pure Michigan Up North Getaway’ Giveaway – a $3,000 Value
(Traverse City, MI) October 1, 2012 – To celebrate the harvest season throughout the United States, Grand Traverse Pie Company has awarded one lucky winner, Connie Pettis-Honig with a ‘Pure Michigan Up North Getaway’ valued at $3,000. Connie is from Clayton, North Carolina.
Connie was thrilled to win! She makes her way to Michigan annually. “Oh my gosh, I am so excited! Thank you so much. My first stop in Michigan is always the Grand Traverse Pie Company,” said Connie.
The harvest season in northern Michigan is truly PURE MICHIGAN – one not to be missed. The Grand Traverse Region is a land of bounty that goes far beyond its cherries. Grand Traverse is place where rolling hills shelter and nurture strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, and apples.
Connie’s ‘Up North Getaway’ is FOR TWO PEOPLE and includes round trip air service to Traverse City, Michigan (TVC); a two night stay in the heart of downtown Traverse City, Michigan at the Historic Park Place Hotel; a hands on pie experience with GT Pie Company’s Co-Founders Mike and Denise Busley; a private wine tasting hosted by Chateau Chantal’s Marie-Chantal Dalese; Movie tickets for a show at the City’s Historic State Theatre, located just steps away from the Park Place and Grand Traverse Pie Company’s newest downtown location; and a Harvest Dinner for two at Traverse City’s downtown bistro Amical. Topping it all off, Connie will also receive ‘Pie for a Year’ – a variety of featured pies shipped directly to her home each month! The giveaway package is valued at $3,000.
Harvest season is the perfect time to enjoy a slice of handcrafted pie, one neatly and deliciously packaged in a flaky crust, or a delicious meal; breakfast, lunch, or supper. There’s even seasonal menu offerings that visitors to any Grand Traverse Pie shop will enjoy.
Grand Traverse Pie Company is committed to celebrating Michigan. GTPC makes over 95% of its purchases from Michigan companies and promotes two of the State’s key ingredients – agriculture and commerce. Michigan fruit (cherries, apples, and blueberries), sugar, and flour all come from our State’s growers and processors, and GT Pie will drive nearly $20 million into the Michigan economy this year.

I absolutely Love the Apple Crum Pie. I purchase one everytime I pass Ann Arbor. I wish we had one in Jackson.
