We’re Open! A Letter From Our President
At the Grand Traverse Pie Co, there is nothing we enjoy more than sharing the Power of Pie. We are very excited to reopen our pie shops from our temporary closures!
We are offering the following options for our guests to enjoy our handmade goodness. Some of these offerings are in the early stages for us and vary by location (please check with your local shop), so we appreciate your patience as we get them up and running:
- Curbside Pickup
- Catering
- Delivery
- Online Ordering
As we respond to COVID-19, you may notice changes in your shop experience. As we reopen, we will do it in a way that allows for a safe and healthy environment. All our shops will follow guidelines and best practices around the following procedures:
- Health Screening – associates will undergo a daily health screening and will not be allowed to work if they are sick.
- Social Distancing – our shops will have designated 6-foot distance standing areas; clear plastic shields will separate guests from associates at key areas of interaction.
- Personal Protection – our staff will be provided and will wear masks and gloves; we also ask all our guests that will be entering our shops to wear an appropriate face covering.
- Sanitation – high touchpoints will be sanitized frequently and hand sanitizer will be available to our guests.
I certainly appreciate the patience of our loyal guests as we modify our business and menu in light of current events. Since Mike and Denise Busley opened the first Grand Traverse Pie shop in Traverse City in 1996, we have prided ourselves on being an integral part of our local communities. I very much look forward to when we can once again all share the Power of Pie together in a safe and healthy environment, one slice at a time.

My wife and I have been long term Tuesday morning [Date Day] customers at the 28th Street location enjoying the breakfast sandwich and your wonderful coffees. We look forward to your reopening and our much anticipated visit on June 2nd. We love the entire staff.

I’m so glad you’re opening up…..we frequently eat the the two GTPCs in the East Lansing and Okemos areas. I’m so thrilled to eat a cherry and peach. Yes…..I said “and” not “or!”
